The One World Coffeehouse welcomes a double billing: ilyAIMY and The Weathered Road to perform in the comfortable, family-friendly
setting of the Owen Brown Interfaith Center. These
two bands have been collaborating together for years and bring energy and
soulful performances with them wherever they go.
ilyAIMY combines award-winning songwriting, tight male/female harmonies,
signature intricate slap-style guitar work, ukulele, djembe and an eclectically
humorous stage show. They music spans rock to folk to soul to bluegrass, with elements
of jazz and hip hop, creating what is one of the most exciting sounds in Baltimore’s
folk music scene. Winner of Artscape 2013 Sound Off Live and the Falcon Ridge
Folk Festival 2012 Most-Wanted Artist, their name, ilyAIMY, is an acronym of “i
love you And I Miss You.”
Opening
will be The Weathered Road from Pittsburgh, PA,, singer-songwriters whose music
is a mix of folk, Americana, celtic, and “newgrass”. There is a thickness to
their groove and depth to their sound, which is clearly influenced by Dave
Matthews, Jack Johnson, and The Avett Brothers. Don’t miss this special show!
