Golden-Hour Hikes at MPEA

During the last hour before sunset, the world undergoes an
enchanting transformation as the rays of diffuse light capture the magnificence
of the forest. Join Robinson Nature Center naturalists for a 2.5 mile hike
through the Middle Patuxent Environmental Area (MPEA) during  the “golden hour.” Search for “crepuscular”
wildlife (animals active at dawn and dusk), listen to the sounds of the forest
as it transitions from day to night and discover fascinating daily changes that
occur right under our noses. Bring a camera to capture the fleeting beauty of
the dusk-lit forest. Central Maryland Photographers Guild members on the hike
provide photography tips and tricks. Recommended age is 12 yrs+. An adult must
accompany children under 18. Please note there is not a restroom at MPEA and
you are walking on uneven terrain during the program. (Rain date 5/3).
Preregistration required. Cost is $10 per person. Registration/Info: 410-313-0400.
Please note group will meet at Trotter Road Entrance.
