Glenelg Country School's K9-9K and Family Fun Day
On
Saturday, April 26th, Glenelg Country School is holding the 4th annual
K9-9K Walkathon & Run to benefit The Marshall Legacy Institute to
promote the incredible work being done by mine detection dogs (MDDs)
around the world. This fundraiser will also help students at Glenelg
Country School raise money to sponsor their fourth life-saving canine.
Bring your canine companion and join us for a fun-filled morning that
will kick off with a walk/run around the beautiful campus at GCS in
Ellicott City, MD. There will be three different courses to pick from - a
1k walk, a 5k walk, and a 9k run. All funds raised and registration
fees will go directly towards the sponsorship of a Mine Detection Dog.
Following the walk/run, there will be a BBQ, raffle prizes, and loads
of family activities (moon bounce, etc)! MLI’s canine ambassador, MDD
Senna, will also be on-site performing mine detection demonstrations,
showing how dogs are able to safely and effectively “sniff out”
landmines!
All leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome!
