Franchising 101: Don't Climb the Corporate Ladder

The seminar is being held in cooperation with FranNet of Maryland, Small Business Administration (SBA), SCORE and Howard County Economic Development Authority.

Topics discussed during the evening seminar include leaving corporate life, launching a recession-resistant business, building long-term equity, financing options and more.

In addition, successful franchisors who are interested in expanding in Maryland will be on site to discuss opportunities with participants. Also attending will be representatives from SBA, SCORE and Howard County Economic Development Authority plus funding specialists, franchise attorneys and other specialists to help participants determine if franchising is for them.

"Franchising 101: Don't Climb the Corporate Ladder" was organized to reach those interested in small business ownership including service veterans retiring from the military; those affected by layoffs and downsizing; Baby Boomers and retirees looking for a second career or additional income; households needing a second income; recent college grads and others interested in business ownership.
