Primerica assists its clients in meeting their needs for term life insurance, which it underwrite, and mutual funds, annuities and other financial products, which it distributes primarily on behalf of third parties. As of December 31, 2011, the Company insured more than 4.3 million lives and approximately two million clients maintained investment accounts with the Company. The Company operates in three segments: Term Life Insurance and Investment and Savings Products and Other Distributed Products. The Company conducts principal its business activities in the United States through three principal entities, all of which are wholly owned subsidiaries: Primerica Financial Services, Inc., Primerica Life Insurance Company and PFS Investments Inc.
