Howard County School Health Council Meeting

This meeting’s agenda will include: a summary of the Frederick School Health Council findings from its School Health Index Initiative, which surveys the status of policies and programs in schools.  Attendees are welcome to provide feedback for the development of policy recommendations, program content and metrics with which to monitor success here in Howard County.

The Howard County School Health Council is a state mandated advisory council combining representatives from the School System, the Health Department, the PTA Council of Howard County and other community groups.  The Council is administered by representatives from these community organizations, and reports to both the Superintendent of Schools and the County Health Officer.  General Council meetings are held every other month to review various health, safety and wellness programs, make recommendations and provide input.
