Body Barre is our signature fitness, barre -inspired workout class designed to trim, tighten, and tone your entire body. We combine components of ballet barre work, Pilates, and strength training to create sculpted, elongated muscles and a beautiful, lean body. By using small, controlled movements, isometric holds, and high repetition, you can develop a dancer like physique.
Body Barre’s elements of Pilates, the small movements that are signature to bar workouts, as well as large, sweeping ballet movements make the class fun and challenging! The muscles are worked to exhaustion (yes, shaking is a good thing!) then stretched immediately after working them to enhance flexibility and length. We use a variety of props such as balls, weights, and bands to add variety and muscle confusion. Pilates Mat work is incorporated to strengthen and tone the core muscles. Intervals focusing on specific body parts offer a cardio component by providing intense bursts of energy while the isometric movements tone and define. In 1 hour, you will be sculpted and stretched from head to toe! Come lengthen and strengthen with us and see your own body’s amazing results! This class will be taught by Rachel Gribbin every Wednesday at 10 a.m. and on Fridays at noon beginning January 23 for six weeks. The cost is $20 per individual class and $90 for a package of six classes ($30 savings). Please register at the front desk of Face Place.
