Columbia Festival of the Arts Invitational Fine Arts & Crafts Show 2014 Call for Entries

Columbia Festival of the Arts is seeking artists for its annual Invitational Fine Arts and Crafts Show 2014.  The juried show will feature original artwork representing a breadth of media including functional and wearable art in the following categories: ceramics, clay, drawing, painting, glass jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, photography, digital, textile, and wood. Traditionally, this invitational show has drawn artists from throughout the mid-Atlantic region. 

This arts and crafts show is part of Columbia Festival of the Arts three-day free outdoor arts weekend scheduled for June 13-15, showcasing a variety of performing artists, art exhibitions, a sidewalk chalk art competitions, kids’ arts and crafts, assorted food offerings, brew zone and wine tastings by Maryland Wineries. 

Applications for the Invitational Fine Arts and Crafts Show are due by Monday, March 3, 2014. The Show Fee includes the rental of one NFPA 701 Fire Code Certified 10’x10’ tent. Artists are responsible for providing any display fixtures, tables, signage, etc.

Columbia Festival of the Arts hosts a summer season of world-class events each year, including gala performances, exhibitions, free concerts, family activities, master classes, workshops, and community dialogues. 

Artists accepted into the show will be required to participate during all Show hours: Friday, June 13, 5 - 9 p.m., Saturday, June 14, Noon - 9 p.m., & Sunday, June 15, Noon - 7 p.m.             

No entry fee and no commission on sales.Non-Refundable $275 Show Fee upon juried acceptance into the show.(A $75 credit will be given towards the Show Fee if Artist provides their own NFPA 701 Fire Code Certified 10’x10’ tent.) Additional $50 Fee if electricity requested.
