Tree Collapses on a Home in Columbia

Storms caused damage throughout Howard County Wednesday night and Thursday.

A tree collapsed on a home around 8 a.m. in Columbia Thursday as a result of storms that ripped through the area Wednesday night and Thursday morning, Howard County rescue officials said.

The tree  “fell on the garage area of the home,” located on the 10600 block of Green Mountain Circle in the western part of Columbia, said Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services Jackie Cutler.

No one was injured, but Cutler said safety officials do suspect the “building is going to be posted as uninhabitable.”
