Today in Columbia: Twenty Degrees Colder Than Yesterday

I know there are those praying for snow but I'm hoping for a mild winter and an early spring.

The Weather:

"Partly sunny, with a high near 39. Breezy, with a west wind between 20 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25. West wind between 11 and 15 mph.  — The National Weather Service

I had a great meeting Wednesday with Karen Lubieniecki, a spokeswoman for the Association of Community Services of Howard County.

Karen told me about some of the work ACS does, and gave me a directory of services and members that was packed with what I'm sure will be great contact information to have in the future.

We also talked about our cats — Sydney and Beijing at my house and Bert and Andy at hers.

It was a great meeting and it was fun to meet in person yet another Columbia cheerleader!
