A tip of the hat to reader Jenny Lai, who told Patch via a Facebook comment that the Rt. 175 eastbound ramp from U.S. Rt 29 reopened on Tuesday.

Lai's comment came in several hours before the press release from the State Highway Administration announcing the reopening of the ramp.

SHA closed the ramp in August as part of its $1.3 million project to resurface the eastbound and westbound MD 175 bridges over U.S. 29, according to the statement.

Remaining work includes painting the girders and roadway pavement markings, which should be complete by next spring.

When scheduling a trip, SHA reminds motorists to plan ahead and check travel conditions by calling 511 or visiting www.md511.org.

And thanks again, Jenny!
