Perimeter Set, But Door-Kicker Not Found: Howard County Crime Reports

Columbia

Possible catburglary

Residents were at their home in the 6100 block of Majors Lane when they heard someone kick the front door open and walk in. The residents called police, who set up a perimeter around the house, but no one was found and it appeared nothing was taken. The incident happened on June 11 around 10:30 p.m.

Residential burglary

A homeonwer unlocked the door to let a dog out, left the door unlocked and returned to find money missing from a purse on the kitchen table at a home in the 3700 block of Yellowrose Court on June 11 at 3:30 p.m.

Kids in a vacant home

Neighbors spotted kids hanging out in a vacant home in the 7300 block of Mossy Brink Ct. on June 12 and called police. After an investigation, police found the front door was unlocked and the door frame was broken. The property manager made plans to secure the house.

Ellicott City

Residential burglary

Someone entered an open garage and stole three bikes, a socket set, a chain saw, a hedge trimmer and a weed whacker overnight on June 12 - 13. Money and a GPS were also taken from an unlocked vehicle parked inside the garage.

Residential burglary

Someone used a screwdriver to pop the lock of a door on a residence in the 8300 block of Redwood Ct. and stole jewelry and a television around 10:30 p.m. on June 10.

Residential burglary

A bottle of prescription drugs was taken from a residence in the 8300 block of Ari Ct. sometime on June 11.

Fulton

Attempted break-in

A woman spotted another woman attempting to enter her home in the 7800 block of Tilghman St. around 6:30 p.m. on June 12. When the possible suspect noticed the woman inside the home, she fled.
