Where/When: River Hill Giant at 6050 Daybreak Circle in Clarksville on Saturday, June 18, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Myles the cat needs your help! He has some medical bills that need to get paid, so come out and enjoy some sweet treats. All proceeds from the bake sale will go to Myles and his health care. The bake sale is sponsored by the Howard County Cat Club.

Where/When: The Lurman at 614 Hilltop Rd. in Catonsville on Sunday, June 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Why Go: Listen to some funky jazz music and bob your head to the beat. This is a great way to wind down Fathers Day: enjoying some live music and spending some quality time together. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and a picnic dinner.

Where/When: on Friday, June 17, and Saturday, June 18, at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Originally written by John Waters, this musical follows the life of Tracy Turnblad in 1960s Baltimore. Everyone can relate to this story of a girl who just wants to dance on “The Corny Collins Show.”

Where/When: on Sunday, June 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Dad can enjoy a delicious brunch and even become a Beer Club member for the day for free! (He must be 21 years old or older though!) Dad will get a mug, tee-shirt and plaque when he finishes sampling some beers.

Where/When: on Sunday, June 19, at 7 a.m.

Why Go: Come out and cheer on your favorite runner at this exciting 8K! Spend a lovely late-spring day outdoors and watching the runners compete for first prize.

Where/When: Laurel Lakes at 8300 Mulberry St. on Friday, June 17, from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy this classic DreamWorks movie for free! This is a fun (and cheap!) way to spend a Friday evening out of the house.
