Foggy and Soggy this Week in Columbia

Here's the week's forecast courtesy of the National Weather Service.

That beautiful weekend we just had came at a price: this week’s forecast is filled with rain, fog and clouds, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday will be cloudy with patchy fog during the day and temperatures in the mid-60s.  There’s a 30 percent chance of rain after 5 p.m., and a 40 percent chance of rain Monday night when temperatures drop to the low-50s. 

More fog is in the forecast Tuesday morning, before 9 a.m. Otherwise, expect cloudy skies and maybe rain – there’s a 40 percent chance. Temperatures will reach the high 60s. Tuesday night temperatures fall to the mid-50s and there’s an 80 percent chance of rain – up to a half inch.

The rain will continue into Wednesday, when temperatures reach the high-60s. There’s a 60 percent chance that rain will continue until about 9 p.m. Temperatures will drop to the mid-50s over night. 

There’s a 40 percent chance of more rain Thursday. Otherwise skies will be mostly cloudy and temperatures will reach the low-70s during the day, dropping to the mid-50s at night, when there’s also a 40 percent chance of rain.

Finally, the sun is expected to return in time for the weekend. Friday should be sunny with temperatures in the high-70s. Friday night, however, there is a 40 percent chance of showers, and temperatures will drop to the high-50s.
