Featured Health Tip: Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkins have more than one use besides being carved into a spooky face.

Just in time for Halloween is another sweet treat besides candy — pumpkins.

 “They are a good source of Vitamin A, fiber, beta carotene and potassium, and you can make many pumpkin treats,” said Amanda Hillesland, dietician at . “Some pumpkins are better for eating and cooking, namely Cinderella pumpkins or the other smaller pumpkins.”

Pumpkins are great because not only can the insides be eaten, but the seeds can be salted and baked in an oven for an easy salty snack.
