New Members Needed for CA Aquatics, Health and Fitness Advisory Committees

Columbia Association (CA) is seeking new members for its Columbia Aquatics Advisory Committee (CAAC) and its Health and Fitness Advisory Committee (HFAC).

Columbia Association (CA) is seeking new members for its Columbia Aquatics Advisory Committee (CAAC) and its Health and Fitness Advisory Committee (HFAC), both of which are sub-committees of the Sport and Fitness Advisory Committee.

The CAAC informs and advises CA on policies and programs concerning the operation of, and suggested improvements to, CA’s indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities and programs. Members of the CAAC also serve as liaisons between the residents and CA management. The committee typically meets on the third Tuesday of the month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Columbia Swim Center or CA Maintenance Facility.

The HFAC informs and advises CA on policies and programs concerning the operation of, and suggested improvements to, CA’s fitness facility activities. Some of the topics include: racquetball/handball/squash; free weights; basketball/arena; cardiovascular equipment; Package Plan Plus membership; general membership; group exercise; KidSpace; and persons with disabilities. The committee normally meets on Monday evenings four times a year.
