Blog: Romney Leads Santorum in Washington Polls

Romney leads in the only public poll ahead of Saturday's caucus in Washington State.

While most of the news media is looking ahead to Super Tuesday on March 6 for the Republican Presidential race, there is a caucus occurring in Washington State tomorrow (Saturday) that could determine whether Mitt Romney's momentum is real.

There has not been much polling whatsoever for this caucus, but Public Policy Polling (PPP) put out a poll on Thursday night showing that Romney has taken a small lead over Rick Santorum.

PRESIDENT - WASHINGTON STATE - GOP CAUCUS (PPP)
Mitt Romney 37 percent
Rick Santorum 32 percent
Ron Paul 16 percent

In a poll about two weeks earlier done by PPP showed Santorum ahead of Romney by 11 percent, which confirms the latest media narrative that Romney is starting to take control of the Republican race at this point.
