Romney Dominates Gingrich in Nevada

Romney should have no trouble in Nevada tomorrow according to the latest polls.

The Republican caucuses in Nevada are going to be held tomorrow and we had two different polls out yesterday showing Mitt Romney as the clear front runner in the Republican field.

We start with a new poll from the Cannon Survey Center at UNLV done for the Las Vegas Review-Journal that has Romney ahead by 21%.

PRESIDENT - NEVADA - GOP PRIMARY (UNLV)
Mitt Romney 45%
Newt Gingrich 24%
Rick Santorum 11%
Ron Paul 9%

This poll was done January 27-31 among 426 likely caucus-goers and had a margin of error of +/-4.75%.

Also out with a new poll was Public Policy Polling, which shows Romney ahead by 21%.

PRESIDENT - NEVADA - GOP PRIMARY (PPP)
Mitt Romney 45%
Newt Gingrich 24%
Ron Paul 15%
Rick Santorum 8%

This poll was done February 1-2 among 937 likely caucus-goers and had a margin of error of +/-3.2%.

The fact that this race appears to be a blowout means we will not see nearly as much polling as we saw for the first four states.

February is shaping up to be a pretty good month for Romney as he tries to put away Newt Gingrich for good.
