Florida Poll Summary

A dramatic shift towards Mitt Romney in the latest polls out of Florida ahead of Tuesday's vote.

As we head into the final weekend before the Republican primary in Florida, it is probably a good time to take a quick look at where the Republican race now stands.

If you remember, one of included new polling showing Newt Gingrich surging into a lead in the state of Florida.

It is amazing to see what a few days can do in a campaign.

Two of the pollsters who showed that lead for Gingrich right after the South Carolina primary, Insider Advantage and Rasmussen Reports, released polls yesterday showing a dramatic shift in favor of Mitt Romney.

There have also been four other polls in the past two days that also show Mitt Romney moving into a high-single-digit lead over Gingrich.

As for Ron Paul and Rick Santorum, they seem to be languishing in the high single digits or low teens.

Poll Romney Gingrich Paul Santorum Voter Survey Service 40% 31% 9% 12% Quinnipiac University 38% 29% 14% 12% Insider Advantage 40% 32% 9% 8% Monmouth University 39% 32% 8% 11% American Research Group 41% 34% 7% 9% Rasmussen Reports 39% 31% 9% 12%

If history from the first three primary states is any guide, we will likely get additional polls from American Research Group, Rasmussen Reports, Public Policy Polling, Quinnipiac University, and Insider Advantage before the actual primary on Tuesday.
