Middle and High School Students Invited to Help Plan Fun Activities for Columbia Youth

Youth from every middle school and high school in Columbia are invited to help make the community even more fun by becoming members of Columbia Association’s (CA) Teen Advisory Committee and CA’s Middle School Advisory Committee.

The purpose of the each committee is to develop, plan and then implement positive youth programs and activities for youth in Columbia. The Teen Advisory Committee is for youth between the ages of 13 and 19, while the Middle School Advisory Committee is for those between the ages of 11 and 13.

Youth can let their voices be heard and have their ideas come to life. Some of the committees’ past signature events and activities include the Battle of the Bands, Teen Idol, a Summer Pool Party, the Middle School Takeover of Supreme Sports Club, and the Xbox Challenge. Students also can earn community service hours for serving on the committees.
