Have Fun Losing Weight and Two Pants Sizes With "Rock Your Jeans" Eight-Week Fitness Program

It starts with a pair of jeans that are too small, and it ends with those pants being the right size — and with the person wearing them feeling happier, healthier and more confident.

That’s the motivation behind Columbia Association’s (CA) “Rock Your Jeans” fitness program, which inspires people to drop two jean sizes in eight weeks and helps them do so.

“Rock Your Jeans” starts Oct. 7 and runs through Nov. 30. Each participant will bring a pair of jeans that is two sizes too small, or doesn’t fit anymore, to the first personal training session. The assigned personal trainer will keep those jeans. People who do not have two jean sizes to lose can still work with a personal trainer to develop alternative fitness goals.

“Rock Your Jeans” will feature a weekly motivational personal training session on a two-person team; workout plans that include fitness classes; paired workouts so that everyone has a partner for encouragement, support and fun; a comprehensive nutrition program; and an event at the end of the program to celebrate success and retire the larger pair of jeans for good.

Registration runs through Oct. 5 and can be completed online at ColumbiaFitness.org/PersonalTraining/RockYourJeans.html or in-person at any of the three CA fitness facilities: Columbia Athletic Club (5435 Beaverkill Road in Harper’s Choice, 410-730-6744); Columbia Gym (6151 Daylong Lane in River Hill, 410-531-0800); and Supreme Sports Club (7080 Deepage Drive in east Columbia, 410-381-5355).
