Final Call for Starlicious Talent Show Auditions

This Saturday brings the final round of auditions for the first-ever Starlicious Talent Show.

This Saturday brings the final round of auditions for the first-ever Starlicious Talent Show — which gives kids from Howard County between the ages of 8 and 13 the chance to find their inner superstar and to shine in front of their friends and family.

The event, hosted by Columbia Association’s (CA) KidSpace, will allow youth to show their stuff, whether they are singers, dancers, musicians or have other talents, including hand clapping/feet stomping, extreme hula hooping, double-dutch jump roping, gymnastics, native dance, and collaborative performances such as bands, singing groups and dancing groups.

The final round of auditions will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 8 to 9 a.m. at Columbia Gym.

Contestants should register at one of CA’s three KidSpace locations: Columbia Athletic Club (5435 Beaverkill Road, 410-730-6755), Columbia Gym (6151 Daylong Lane, 410-531-8984) and Supreme Sports Club (7080 Deepage Drive, 410-381-7559). Walk-ins will be allowed.

The finalists will then be showcased at the Starlicious Talent Show on Friday, Feb. 8, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at Columbia Gym’s Youth Arena. Talents who make it to the finale will be provided with free admission for the Starlicious Talent Show for themselves and one parent or guardian. Starlicious Talent Show winners will be awarded personalized trophies, and finalists will receive award certificates signed by CA President Phil Nelson.

Starlicious Talent Show will also include several special features, including a halftime show with raffled door prizes, a Fan Club merchandise booth, a VIP booth, concession stands and more. Tickets will be available at the door: $5 for adults and $2 for children between the ages of 3 and 13.
