Robert Manekin Named to Equal Justice Council of Legal Aid Bureau

Colliers International | Baltimore Managing Director and Principal Robert Manekin was named to the Equal Justice Council, the financial resource development arm of the Legal Aid Bureau, the nonprofit entity that provides free legal services to more than 75,000  underserved  people in Maryland.

A 1973 graduate of the University Of Maryland School Of Law, an officer in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General, and a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, Manekin is the first non-practicing attorney appointed to the council.

In announcing the appointment, Legal Aid Bureau Director Wilhelm Joseph said, “As a former practicing attorney, and someone who regularly advises law firms on their real estate needs, Bob has a very real understanding of the need for legal services and the role the legal community plays in raising acutely needed funds. We are thrilled to have him on the Equal Justice Council.”

In his current role at Colliers | Baltimore, Manekin serves on Colliers’ National Law Firm Practice Group, having represented several leading law firms in the region and State of Maryland. Most recently, he represented Miles & Stockbridge, Goodell DeVries, Fedder & Garten, Blades & Rosenfeld, Shawe & Rosenthal, and Batoff & Associates. In addition to his law firm practice,  Mr. Manekin represents health care providers (Mercy and St. Agnes hospitals), not for profits (The Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation and the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation), and corporations as well He has 35 years of commercial real estate development, property management and brokerage experience.
