Bright Minds Foundation Continues to Bridge the Digital Divide for Howard County Public School Students

On October 26th, the Bright Minds Foundation, using funding from McDonalds, gave away laptops, printers and flashdrives to 32 Oakland Mills middle and high school students and their families.  They attended a computer training class sponsored by Bright Minds and taught by the teacher and his student interns from the HCPSS ARL Cyber Security Academy.   Capitol One Bank played an exciting game of Jeopardy to teach financial literacy.  Students from Atholton HS, members of the Future Educators of America, used their computer and customer service skills to mentor and to help make the day successful.  It was an exciting day for the students and their families, the Bright Minds Board members and all the volunteers that took part.
