Zumiez Reopens at The Mall in Columbia
The store has been closed since the January shootings at the mall.
Nearly four months after the fatal shootings at The Mall in Columbia, the store where the shooter killed two employees is reopening.
Zumiez has been closed since Jan. 25, when Brianna Benlolo, 21, and Tyler Johnson, 25—who worked there—were shot by Darion Aguilar, 19, who then killed himself.
The surf and skate shop on the mall's second level reopened on Monday, Fox 45 reported.
The store contains a tribute to the two fallen employees—tiles that say "B" and "T" were incorporated into the shop's redesign—according to NBC Washington.
Zumiez remodeled the store in concert with the families of the victims, ABC 2 News reported.
