Report: Ann's House of Nuts Leaving Columbia

The outlet store and corporate offices are relocating to Minnesota.

If you've driven along Snowden River Parkway, you've likely seen the white letters that make up the sign for the Ann's House of Nuts store, right there on the corner of Berger Road, practically inviting you to come in and grab some trail mix.

It won't be there for very long.

The company has decided to relocate to Minnesota to consolidate its corporate offices after merging in 2010 with Amports Foods, a Minnesota-based producer of dried fruits, according to an article on Explore Howard.

The company was started by Ann and Ed Zinke in Maryland in 1973 and has grown into the #1 provider of trail mixes in the U.S., according to its website.
