Photo of the Day: National Cheesecake Day

Find out where you can get half price slices of cheesecake to celebrate.

Looking for a decadent treat? Well, then celebrate the holiday and grab a slice because July 30 is National Cheesecake Day.

Over at the Cheesecake Factory at Columbia Mall, preparations have been made for the big day. The company has been celebrating National Chessecake Day since 2008 by offering half price chessecake all day on July 30, according to Thomas Kaiser, general manager of the Columbia location.

On Monday morning there were plenty of large cheesecakes stacked up inside the cooling container at the front of the restaurant.

"We sell a lot [today]," said Kaiser, "Hundreds and hundreds of slices."

Prices of slices range from $6.95 to $7.95, or about $3 or $4 on National Cheesecake Day, however the restaurant requires you to dine-in to get the special. (One slice per customer)

There was even a new flavor of cheesecake introduced today by the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate. They partnered with Oreo, which is celebrating its own 100th anniversary this year, to introduce the "Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake." The cake includes a layer of fudge, a layer of original chessecake with oreo bits, a layer of oreo mousse and is topped off with chocolate icing.

If you can't make it in to grab some half price cheesecake on Monday, the restaurant is also offering half price cheesecake tomorrow to customers who become fans of their Facebook page, according to Kaiser.
