Credit Union Group Names New Marketing Director

Bridget Crawley will head marketing and communications for the Columbia-based Maryland and District of Columbia Credit Union Association.

The Maryland & District of Columbia Credit Union Association has named Bridget Crawley its Director of Marketing & Communications, according to a press release from the organization.

In her new position, Crawley will oversee all marketing, branding strategies and media relations for MDDCCUA. She will be responsible for strengthening credibility, enhancing visibility, and promoting the value of credit unions, according to the statement.

“We are excited to have Bridget as the newest addition to MDDCCUA," association President and CEO John Bratsakis said in the statement. "Bridget has the knowledge and expertise to help us advance our mission, create buzz about the credit union industry and add value to our member credit unions.”

While new to the association, Crawley is no newcomer to the world of marketing and public relations. Her background includes more than 10 years of public relations, marketing, and special event experience, along with experience in television and film production.

She holds an MBA in marketing from the Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree in mass media from Clark Atlanta University, according to the statement.

The Maryland and District of Columbia Credit Union Association represents 167 credit unions serving over 2.5 million member-owners, according to the statement.

Credit unions are not-for profit financial cooperatives that are locally controlled and owned by the people they serve.
