Come Plant The Grove ~ A 200 people trees project!

Saturday, October 26th, below Wilde Lake Dam, 10:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM

We look forward to sharing the joy of planting trees together! Plant for yourself or with your family, friends, classmates or community group - 200 in all! Holes will be pre-bored, trees, planting materials and gloves supplied.

The Grove is a Capstone Project of the Howard County Watershed Stewards Academy, in conjunction with Columbia Association Watershed Management. The Grove will serve as a riparian buffer on a ½ acre site below Wilde Lake dam. Six tree varieties will be planted in this environmentally sensitive location to preserve and prevent further land and stream bank erosion, act as a tree canopy and absorb stormwater and pollutants.Registration recommended at: Watershed Stewards Academy: http://howardwsa.org/events/plant-the-grove                                           Educational materials, snacks and tree helpers sponsored by British American Auto Care and private donations. Come on down ~ Rain or shine !
