A U.S. Navy band concert scheduled for Friday night at Howard Community College has been canceled because of the shutdown.
The U.S. Navy Band Commodores, an 18-member jazz ensemble, were scheduled to play Friday at 7:30 p.m. inside the college's auditorium. However, the Navy Band's Twitter feed announced the concert's cancellation on Thursday.
