"We were playing Uno, and the next thing you know, a producer called, and it was really Ellen. That's all I can remember," Tina Hamilton told the TV station.

The family was put through a game of questions, winning $4,000 – or so they thought.

"I was going to double it, but let's just round it up to $20,000," Ellen said on the show.

The Hamiltons said the windfall came at the perfect time, since they need to furnish their home.

Some of the money will go toward their daughter's college tuition.
