Stroke Support Group Hosts Wii Bowling Party

The Stroke Survivors Support Group at Howard County General Hospital is hosting a free Wii Bowling Party for stroke survivors and their families on Wednesday, March 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Bolduc Family Outpatient Center.

Participants will compete using one of the newest tools in rehabilitation, the Wii gaming system, which has been shown to be effective in stroke rehabilitation by providing an opportunity to perform repetitive movements that mimic real situations. Additionally, the social component and feeling of accomplishment the system offers makes it a great adjunct to regular therapy.

For information or to register, call the Stroke Program Coordinator at 410-884-4641.
