To open its 35th anniversary season, Columbia Pro Cantare will present the first public performance of local composer Tom Benjamin's new work, Old Brick Oratorio. The work celebrates nearly 300 years of the congreation at Christ Episcopal Church and the 200th anniversary of the dedication of Old Brick Church. The chorus is under the direction of Frances Motyca Dawson. Guest artists include Alison Matuskey, soprano, Robert Cantrell, bass-baritone, the Lexington Brass Quintet, a string quintet, percussion, piano, and organ. Seating is limited. Visit www.procantare.org for more information on this concert and complete 35th anniversary season schedule.
