Classical with a Japanese Twist

Misako Ballet Company presents "Classical with a Japanese Twist" at the Rouse Theater.

The performance will include"Japanese Rhymes and Songs" and "The Four Seasons" choreographed and directed by Artistic Director, Misako Aoki-Oda. The program will also include variations from Carmen, Le Corsaire, Paquita and the ballet Pas de Quatre.  Additionally we will present "How We Play" choreographed by Howard County's Eva Anderson who directed the longest running dance company in our county's history, the Eva Anderson Dancers. The Washington Toho Koto Society will provide a musical interlude.

This concert will include guest performances by hip hop dancers Danielle Sten and Lance Guillermo of "On the DL" who will perform "The Encounter".  We also welcome Nona Lee Dance Theater and Baltimore Dance Project.


"Classical with a Japanese Twist" features company dancers Carey Ballinger, Genevieve Ellis-Williams, Melissa Lineburg, Jessica Markiewicz, Emily Runkle, Amy Scaringe and Amanda Wade.

Please join us for this concert on Sunday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Jim Rouse Theater at Wilde Lake High School, 5460 Trumpeter Road, Columbia, MD 21044.  Ticket  prices are $12 for adults; $10 for seniors and students; and $6 for children 12 and under.  Tickets may be purchased online or at the door.
