Borealis String Quartet – Beethoven Cycle Concert

Candlelight presents the continuation of the complete Beethoven string quartet series programs from Beethoven's early, middle, and late periods. 

Program: Beethoven: Quartet in F Major, Op. 18, No. 1;              Quartet in C Major, Op. 59, No. 3, "Hero";  Quartet in B-Flat Major, Op. 130, "Liebquartett," with Grosse Fuge, Op. 133.

The Borealis String Quartet has created a sensation across North America with its dynamic performances, passionate style, and refined musical interpretations.  Featured frequently on CBC Radio, the Borealis String Quartet has performed to critical acclaim and sold-out concert halls. In December 2006 the Quartet received a sponsorship from the influential Chimei Culture Foundation of Taiwan, allowing them the use of four historic instruments.
