A Walk In My Shoes at Columbia Art Center

Go for A Walk In My Shoes at Columbia Art Center

Proceeds from  juried theme exhibition benefit Blossoms of Hope

The Columbia Art Center, in partnership with Howard County Tourism & Promotion’s Blossoms of Hope, will present A Walk In My Shoes, a themed invitational exhibition celebrating the courageous journey of those coping with cancer and featuring more than 50 artists whose works are inspired by, reflect, or incorporate the theme, A Walk In My Shoes. The show runs at the Columbia Art Center from April 12 through April 29, with a gala reception and awards ceremony on Friday, April 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. The show and reception are free and open to the public.

The goals of the exhibition are to increase awareness and raise funds for The Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center of Howard County, which provides resources to people diagnosed with cancer and helps them navigate through the decisions they face during their treatments. The show features two and three dimensional art works, including paintings, photographs, glass works, jewelry, ceramics, mixed media and more.
