The project is anticipated to be complete by late July, Howard County reported.

Drivers may experience lane alterations until late July as workers correct standing water and drainage issues in part of North Laurel, Howard County officials said Thursday.

The work will take place on Tower Drive near Old Scaggsville Road, according to a statement from the county.

Construction workers will install storm drain inlets and a berm next to an existing channel there to correct the drainage situation, the statement said.

Temporary lane shifts and closures may be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. Flagging operations and signage will be in place.

CORRECTION: "Drivers may run into lane closures until late July in part of Laurel as workers..." is incorrect. No part of the City of Laurel will have lane closures as a result of this work. Only roads in Howard County.

What's going on with the closure of Gorman between Skylark Blvd and Murray Hill Road? It's been closed almost a week and is a major headache for those of us who have to use it on a daily basis!
