PHOTOS: Sandy's Aftermath in Columbia

The storm brought significant amounts of rain and wind to the area.

What does your neighborhood or home look like after the storm? Is your basement flooded, a tree down in your backyard - share your photos in the community gallery above by pressing the upload button below the photo gallery.

Around 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning, the rain was beginning to slow to a drizzle and the wind was more breezy than gusty in Columbia. There were branches and tree limbs down on side streets, particularly in Wilde Lake, but the main roads in the city were mostly cleared by 9 a.m.

Above, we've posted photos from around Columbia as well as scenes from Main Street in Ellicott City and the Patapsco River.

Check out the photos from Monday morning and afternoon in yesterday's gallery.

So happy that others suffered little or no damage. My power went out at 4:45 pm yesterday (Monday), and as of now, 7:40 pm Tuesday, I still have no power.... along with about 20 neighbors. And, because the sump pump stopped working without the electric, I also have about a half inch of water covering the basement floor. Then, there is the matter of a tree limb which crushed the roof of a metal shed.
