Lululemon, True Religion Among First Retailers Announced for Mall's Expansion

The Mall in Columbia announced four new retailers who plan to open in the new space.

 

Lululemon Athletica and True Religion are the two top names announced Thursday that will open stores inside the Mall in Columbia this summer.

The sporting goods store and jeans retailer plan to open their stores in the , which is currently under construction at the former location of the L.L. Bean store, according to an announcement from the Mall in Columbia.

The stores will flank the new walkway being built where the L.L. Bean store formerly was, according to the announcement.

Lululemon is planning a 3,200 square foot store on the upper level across from Michael Kors. The athletic goods company is known for its yoga clothes and running gear.

True Religion, a high-end jeans company, plans to open a 1,572 square foot space on the upper level of the mall.

In addition to those two stores, Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt plans to open a 975 square foot space on the lower level food court this summer and Aerosoles, a retailer of women's shoes designed for comfort, is planning a 2,100 square foot store near Nordstrom.

The mall began construction of the new . When finished, it will include new retail shops, restaurants, and an outdoor walkway that will connect with Columbia's lakefront.
