Kids Nearly New Fall Sale
• Where: Howard County Fairgrounds, Exhibition Bldg. 2210 Fairgrounds Rd.,
West Friendship
• When: Saturday, Sept. 7, 8 a.m.
• Description: 140 booth spaces filled with families selling their kids’ stuff.
NB-juniors-adult sizes. Maternity, furniture, equipment. Everything for kids.

Let's Play BINGO at the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department
• Where: Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.
• When: Friday, Sept. 6, 6 p.m.
• Description: Bingo is held every Friday night at the Elkridge Volunteer Fire
Department Inc. $1,000 Cash Jackpot
• Cost: Many Bingo package offered starting at $10 for a 6 card package up to 30 cards for $30.
Pass It Forward MD 3rd Annual Community Health Fair
• Where: Owen Brown Community Center, 6800 Cradlerock Way, Columbia
• When: Saturday, Sept. 7, 10 a.m.
• Description: Meet local health & wellness practitioners, face painting, free child
id's, door prizes, goodie bags and much more.
• Cost: Free
Herp Search
• Where: Benjamin Banneker Historical Park 300 Oella Ave., Oella
• When: Saturday, Sept. 7, 1 p.m.
• Description: After learning about the state-wide effort to survey reptiles and
amphibians, we'll search the park to document Banneker's herps. No experience
necessary. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Children (6+) are welcome on the search (2:30-4). Adults and herp enthusiasts will find the lecture interesting (1-2:30). Adults and children 6+

2nd Sunday Farmer's Market in downtown Ellicott City
• Where: 3744 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City
• When: Sunday, Sept. 8, 10 a.m.
• Description: Local artisan farmer's market with in-season produce, pickles &
jams, pizza and freshly baked breads and much more.
• Cost: Free
Grandparents Day Tea at Mount Clare
• Where: Mount Clare Museum House, 1500 Washington Blvd., Baltimore
• When: Sunday, Sept. 8, 2 p.m.
• Description: Treat your grandparents to an afternoon tea and tour at Mount
Clare Museum House. Tour the Mount Clare mansion at 2:00 p.m., and then
sit down for a satisfying afternoon tea at 3 o’clock. Enjoy an array of finger
sandwiches and desserts along with a nice refreshing English tea at Mount Clare
Stable.

Yappy Hour
• Where: 8390 Main Street, Ellicott City
• When: Friday, Sept. 6, 6-9 p.m.
• Description: Dog owners are invited to bring well-behaved dogs to a wine
tasting. During nice weather, Yappy Hour is held in the parking lot with live
music. Inside the store enjoy a wine and parfections chocolate tasting and more.
Dogs must be leashed. A portion of sales benefit animal charities.
• Cost: Donations and a portion of sales benefit animal charities
Bike and Wine Tour
• Where: Terrapin Adventures, 8600 Foundry St., Savage
• When: Sunday, Sept. 8, 1 p.m.
• Description: Bike riders are invited to take a 12 mile easy ride along the Little
Patuxent River riding our mountain bikes over paved paths and hard-packed dirt.
Then enjoy some wine, cheese, and French bread along the lake before heading
back to our base camp at Savage Mill. Bikes, helmets, instruction, food, and
drinks provided.
• Cost: 2 Hour tour is $49.95. (Vegetables and fruit are yours to purchase.) Must
be at least 5 ft. tall and 12 years old. Subject to minimum operation number. As
an option, you can bring your own bike for the tour for only $25
Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts (CCTA) Open House!
• Where: St. Johns Parish Day School, 9130 Frederick Rd., Ellicott City
• When: Saturday, Sept. 7, 9 a.m.
• Description: Fun-filled morning of theater activities and
games for kids while being introduced to CCTA’s exciting lineup of exciting
classes and programs.
• Cost: Free
