In addition, the designer of the plan, Michael McCall, was named the President and CEO of the Trust.

The Trust will be responsible for raising money and developing the new plan for Symphony Woods. The plan includes a network of buildings called the arts village, a raised tree canopy walkway, a large sculpture and a wooded amphitheater.

The seven total members means CA does not have controlling interest in the board. CA currently has its interests represented by the homeowner association's president, Nelson, vice chair of CA's board, Gregg Schwind, and former CA board member, Ed Coleman.

Coleman and Schwind were elected to the Trust by CA's Board, while the president of CA is a de facto member of the Trust's board.

The other four members appointed to the Inner Arbor Trust's board were selected from the Howard County community.

Ellinghaus, who was raised in Columbia, currently works as a fundraiser for the University of Maryland's College of Arts and Humanities. Before that, she handled fundraising activities and major gifts for Yale's School of Drama and Repertory Theatre. Currently, she lives in Fulton.

Humphries is a senior vice president of Sysco Corporation in Houston, TX. He handles contract sales for the food service company, according to his corporate bio. Previously, he worked in the Baltimore area as president and CEO of Sysco Baltimore.

White-Seals is the current president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Howard County, formerly known as the Columbia Foundation. She spent 20 years as a lawyer for the Rouse Company, then later as an in-house counsel with General Growth Properties. She lives in Columbia with her family and serves on a number of local community organizations' boards.

Wylie is the president of Johns Hopkins Medical Management Corporation, which handles development, finance and leasing operations for Johns Hopkins medical institutions in Maryland.

At a meeting on May 10, the new members of the Trust's board also passed their bylaws.

The bylaws set powers for the board, such as the ability to approve salaries for employees of the Trust, establishing how money will be distributed by the Trust and making rules for possible conflicts of interest. The bylaws are attached above, below the picture, as a PDF.
