Raskin, who promotes Maryland’s farmers and the farm-to-table movement, posts photos, videos and interviews that feature Maryland wineries selling wine at Howard County Farmers’ Markets and how July was “Buy Local” month. She will also stray into other territory – Raskin recently clued us into where you could listen to high quality organ music.

Her most recent post is a first in a series of profiles she is writing on local farmers – about Lewis’ Orchards, which she said has been with the Howard County Farmers’ Markets since its first market at the Oakland Mills Village Center in Columbia.

 

Lewis’ Orchards, located in Cavetown, has been in the Lewis family for five generations, she writes.

 

According to Raskin, the Lewis family sells its hand-picked fruit at Howard County Farmers’ Markets on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
