Hike the Appalachian Trail to Annapolis Rock, MD

If you can walk 1 mile you can do this hike.

Trip Description

Each hike only has 5 slots available

Hike part of the beautiful and historic Appalachain Trail to one of the most scenic vistas in Central Maryland.  Our destination point will provide great views of Hagerstown, Greenbriar State Park and beyond.

 Along the way we will take several breaks to enjoy nature, and the surrounding scenery, as well as participate in activities designed to promote self awareness, healing and set the stage for future happiness.

Mid-hike we will take an extended break on Annapolis Rock which will include time for:

    A meal

    Connecting with fellow Expedition members

    Self Discovery Activities

    Personal quiet time & reflection

    Connecting with fellow Expedition members

Trip Schedule

    Departing from Trail parking lot (off Rt. 40 Myersville)      8:30AM Approx. Departure from Trail parking lot 4:00PM

 Transportation

Departure Time 7:15AM. Meet at Starbucks parking lot, directly across from Hunan Manor to carpool,  *Arrangements can be made for pick ups along Rt. 70W

OR

Meet at the parking lot for the Annapolis Rock Trail at 8:15AM.  

    Exit 42 off Rt. 70W

    Exit right onto Rt. 17N

    Stay on 17N to traffic light at 17N  Rt 40W

    Make Left on Rt 40W

    Watch for State Park signs on right indicating AT trail head

    Park in lot on left side of Rt. 40

Equipment & Clothing

Running or hiking shoes

Breathable clothing (if above 75 degrees)*recommended

2 - 32oz water bottles w/water or 2L Camelback

2 - snacks

1 - meal

1 - small backpack

1 - rock (no kidding) weighing 2 - 2.5lbs REQUIRED
