Construction Near Clark's Elioak on MD 108 to Continue into May

The project to extend water and sewer mains between Eliot's Oak Drive and Centennial Lane is ongoing, says county official.

Residents traveling during the day on MD 108 near Clark's Elioak Farm have likely noticed the construction going on nearby due to the road being shifted to a single lane.

Expect that to continue between Iron Bridge Wine Company and Eliots Oak Road until the end of May, according to Paul Di Marco, a project manager for Howard County Public Works. Flagging operations will continue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as construction takes place near the westbound lane, according to Di Marco.

The project, which began in November of 2012, is extending water and sewer service along the street. In a November press release, county officials said the project was scheduled to be completed by early March 2013, but it's still underway.

The delay was caused by the start of construction being pushed back so the project would not interfere with fall activities planned at Clark's Elioak Farm, according to the county's public information office.
