  • Description:  Alexandra’s Restaurant sponsors a brunch buffet with kid-friendly fare and time with Santa.

Holiday Festival of Trains

  • Where: B&O Railroad Museum: Ellicott City Station, 2711 Maryland Ave., Ellicott City
  • When: Friday, Nov. 23 – Sunday, Jan. 27, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Description:  B&O Railroad museum's annual holiday celebration of toy trains and model railroading. New this year is a custom built 360 degree LEGO model train layout created by The Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area LEGO Train Club.
  • Cost: $16 (50% off admission for new, unwrapped toys for donation to Toys for Tots)

Also, for a great way to celebrate Chanukah with the kids don’t miss Beth Shalom Congregation’s Chanukah Extravaganza. There will be something for everyone, including exciting and challenging Chanukah-themed games for kids, a video game tournament with a Chanukah twist for middle school students and Texas Hold’em Dreidel tournament for high school students and adults. Latkes and other tasty lunch options will be available for purchase. A room full of Social Action projects will be available to those who would like to participate. Sisterhood Judaica Shop and Children’s Secret Shop will be open throughout the extravaganza for your Chanukah gift giving needs.
