Vantage House will feature the Candlelight Concert Society in
a Season Overview Social on Sept. 19, from 1:30-2:30 p.m., at Vantage House. It will be the first of a series of joint
activities that include pre-concert lectures and social events.
Vantage House has entered into a partnership with the Candlelight Concert Society to enhance the retirement community’s lifelong learning program and expand the arts organization’s audience outreach. Candlelight is one of the original arts organizations in Columbia and features world renowned musicians in concert. Columbia-based Vantage House is distinguished by its extensive cultural and educational activities.
“At Vantage House, we nurture lifelong love of the arts through learning opportunities like pre-concert lectures, which Candlelight is uniquely qualified to provide,” explained Director of Marketing Andrew Morgan.
In addition to the Season Overview Social, Vantage House will host a lecture Nov. 1, in preparation for the Meccorre String Quartet performance on Nov. 9, and on Jan. 17, in preparation for the Amelia String Quartet concert on Jan. 25. Candlelight’s annual gala will be held at Vantage House on April 5, from 9-11:30 p.m., after the New York Chamber Soloists “All-American Concert.”
“Columbia is a great place to retire,” said Morgan. “Howard County’s outstanding arts organizations bring world class artists here, and people at Vantage House are the beneficiaries.”
