Six, local celebrity bartenders will compete for tips leading up to and throughout the evening to raise money in support of the Library’s educational initiatives.  This year's cast features Claire Bolden McGill (ukdesperatehousewifeusa blog), Ian Kennedy (The Horizon Foundation), Mickey Gomez (The Volunteer Center), Tori Marriner(Victoria Gastro Pub), Sang Oh (Talkin & Oh, LLP), and Larry Twele (Howard County Economic Development Authority).  Watch for their debut on the “little” screen in the Library's upcoming, online promotional video “The Caper.”

As part of the annual fundraising effort, all Library System branches will host individual raffles beginning January 22 that include a chance for entrants to win an i-Pad mini with retina display.

All proceeds from Evening in the Stacks benefit the Library's signature educational initiatives, including Summer Reading Clubs, Teen Time, Project Literacy, and Battle of the Books.
