Redskins Lose; Weather Warms Up: HoCo Daily 5

Five things to know for Tuesday, Sept. 10.

1. Weather >> Tuesday will bring heat with it. The National Weather Service predicts the temperature to rise to 90 degrees and be partly sunny.

2. 610 feet >> A Baltimore man inside his vehicle was pushed 610 feet along railroad tracks in Ellicott City after his vehicle was struck by a train on Saturday, according to police.

3. Johns Hopkins Open House >> Johns Hopkins Community Physicians will hold an open house at their new location in Fulton (8160 Maple Lawn Blvd.) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

4. Redskins Wrap >> The Redskins lost their home opener on Monday night 33-27 to the Philadelphia Eagles. Washington's offense failed to show up in the first half. Chip Kelly's fast-paced Eagles stole the show scoring 33 unanswered points at one point, before the Redskins mounted a comeback. However it wasn't enough as Robert Griffin III's heralded return fell flat in the fourth quarter when the Redskins ran out of time after scoring two touchdowns.

5. Mummies? >> A new mummy exhibit opens Sept. 28 at the Maryland Science Center.
