Bring your family out for an incredible afternoon of fun-filled activities that highlight our six-legged friends. During this special event, you will be guided through the woods by RNC naturalists to discover the amazing world of insects, stopping at activity stations along the way. Help collect and identify butterflies for Howard County’s butterfly count. Search the stream for aquatic insects. Get your face-painted, create special crafts and join in games. From dragonflies to cicadas and honey bees to butterflies, this extravaganza will be buzzing with excitement.

Space in this program is limited. Pre-registration is strongly suggested to secure your spot. Register your family for one of the following arrival times by calling 410-313-0400:
12:30 PM; 1 PM; 1:30 PM; 2 PM or 2:30 PM

Robinson Nature Center is an environmental education and nature center in Columbia. Located next to the historic Simpson Mill and more than 1,000 acres of land, this museum offers educational, nature-themed exhibits and a digital planetarium, dubbed the "nature sphere," that shows projected star constellations and movies.  The museum's 25,000 square-foot, environmentally sustainable building is also a Platinum LEED-certified structure.

The center's mission is to further the enjoyment and understanding of natural resources and to create a bridge between people and nature. It focuses on experience-based education to promote sound environmental awareness.
