This is a big one -- not just numerically, but strategically. President Obama said in his inaugural address, "We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations."
His first big decision should be to reject the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, but he also must take bold action to limit carbon pollution and move beyond coal and natural gas. At this rally, we must apply the pressure that will allow the president to show strong leadership on our climate crisis.
This is a historic moment and a historic event. Be There!

From President Obama's January 21, 2013, Inaugural address:
"You and I, as citizens, have the obligation to shape the debates of our time--not only with the votes we cast, but with the voices we lift in defense of our most ancient values and enduring ideals."
Come join the Sierra Club bus from Columbia to attend the "Forward on Climate" rally at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and lift your voice in defense of our most ancient value--the health and welfare and preservation of planet Earth, from which all life is derived. What could be more important?
